HAJJ PRACTICALITIES
HAJJ-E-TAMAT'TU FLOW CHART

A person performing this type of Hajj is called a Mutamattee. He will first perform
an Umrah in the months of Hajj, release his Ihraam and then perform the Hajj in the
same year without going beyond the Mawaaqeet.
Be in the state of Ihraam on the eve or dawn of the 8th of Zil Hajj
Recite Talbiyyah frequently
Reach Mina before Zuhr time
Offer Zuhr, Asr, Maghrib & Esha either in your tents or in Masjid-e-Khaif
Go to Arafat after sunrise
Pray Zuhr & Asr at its time in your tent or combine Zuhr & Asr at Zuhr time if you are following the Imam at Masjid-e-Namerah
Perform Wuqoof after Zawwaal till sunset. Do not perform Maghrib Salaat at its time in Arafat
Combine Maghrib & Esha Fardh followed by their respective Sunnats & Witr at the time of Esha, in Muzdalifah, preferably in congregation
Collect 70 pebbles and some extra in Muzdalifah
Stay overnight in Muzdalifah, engaging in Ibaadaat
Perform Wuqoof after Awwal Fajr till about two minutes before sunrise
Perform Fajr at its earliest time in Muzdalifah
Proceed to Mina to pelt the Jamaratul Aqabah only
Perform Sa’ee if not done already
Return to Mina for overnight stay. Do not sleep in Makkah
For the rest of the day and night must stay in Mina
After Zawwaal, pelt all the three Jamaraat commencing with Jamaratul Ula followed by Jamaratul Wusta and then Jamaratul Aqabah
After Zawwaal, pelt all the three Jamaraat commencing with Jamaratul Ula followed by Jamaratul Wusta and then Jamaratul Aqabah
Decide to return to Makkah or to stay in Mina
Those wishing to return to Makkah should do so before sunset
Can remain in Mina for the rest of the day and night
After Zawwaal, pelt all the three Jamaraat commencing with Jamaratul Ula followed by Jamaratul Wusta and then Jamaratul Aqabah
