  1. To perform Umrah once in a lifetime.

 

  1. To enter Masjid-ul-Haram through Bab-us–Salaam.

 

  1. To make any Duaa on the first sighting of the Kaabaah as Duas are most certainly accepted at this time.

 

  1. To make Idjtibaa, (exposing the right shoulder and arm), in all seven circuits of the Tawaaf of Umrah.

 

  1. To kiss the Hajr-e–Aswad without inconveniencing others.

 

  1. To turn the face towards Hajr-e-Aswad during the Tawaaf of Umrah.

 

  1. To raise the hands as in Takbeer-e-Tahreemaa when calling out the Takbeer while standing opposite the Hajr-e-Aswad.

 

  1. To perform Ramal in the first three circuits of the Tawaaf of Umrah.

 

  1. Not to perform Ramal in the last four circuits of the Tawaaf of Umrah.

 

  1. To make Istilaam of the Hajr-e-Aswad in all seven circuits without inconveniencing others.

 

  1. To make Istilaam of the Hajr-e-Aswad for the 8th time on completion of all seven circuits.

 

  1. To perform each circuit, (Shawt), without a break.

 

  1. To touch the Rukn-e-Yamani during the Tawaaf of Umrah without inconveniencing others.

 

  1. To pray the two Rakaats Wajeeb-ut-Tawaaf behind Maqaam-e-Ibrahim if it is not a Makrooh time.

 

  1. To perform the two Rakaats Waajeebut Tawaaf without delay.

 

  1. To cling to the Multazam, placing the right cheek and chest on it, when supplicating here.

 

  1. To perform Sa'ee of Umrah immediately after Tawaaf.

 

  1. To say the Niyyat for the Sa'ee at Safa.

 

  1. To ensure that the “aurah” is concealed at all times during Sa’ee.

 

  1. To climb up Safaa and Marwa up to some point.

 

  1. To face the Qibla upon climbing Safaa and Marwa.

 

  1. To walk at a quicker pace during Sa'ee on reaching Batn-ul-Wadi, the area between the green fluorescent lights and columns.  (This applies to males only).

 

  1. To complete all seven circuits consecutively.

 

  1. For men, to shave or trim, the entire head in order to be released from Ihraam.

 

  1. To perform Halq as compared to Qasr.

 

  1. To face the Qibla when having Halq/Qasr.

 

  1. To recite the Takbeer and engage in Duaa when having Halq/Qasr.

 

Ruling

 

  1. It is bad to omit a Sunnat intentionally while there is great reward in observing it.

 

  1. However, there is no Jazaa for omitting it.
