HAJJ PRACTICALITIES

MUSTAHABBAAT OF TAWAAF

 

  1. To perform Tawaaf-e-Tahayaa on entry into the Haram.

 

  1. To say the Niyyat for any Tawaaf before being in line with, (diametrically opposite), the Hajr-e-Aswad.

 

  1. To kiss the Hajre Aswad thrice, and to prostrate on it thrice, without inconveniencing others.

 

  1. To move with side-steps after the Niyyat of any Tawaaf in order to be opposite the Hajre Aswad.

 

  1. To include the slopes at the bottom of the walls of the Kaabaah in any Tawaaf.

 

  1. To repeat any Tawaaf which was performed in a Makrooh manner.

 

  1. To cease even permitted conversation during any Tawaaf.

 

  1. To avoid doing anything that hampers humble behaviour during any Tawaaf.

 

  1. To supplicate and make Zikr softly in any Tawaaf.

 

  1. To perform Istilaam of Rukn-e-Yemeni without inconveniencing others.

 

  1. To avoid gazing at anything or anyone during any Tawaaf which could divert the heart or mind.

 

  1. For males to perform any Tawaaf in close proximity of the Kaabaah without inconveniencing others.

 

  1. For females to perform any Tawaaf further away from the Kaabaah without inconveniencing others.

 

  1. For females to perform any Tawaaf at night.

 

  1. To take short steps during any Tawaaf.

 

  1. To make those supplications in Tawaaf known to have been made by Prophet Muhammad, (Sallallaho-alaihe-Wassallam).

 

  1. To recite Sura Kaa’firoon and Sura Ikhlaas in the two Rakaats of Waajeebut Tawaaf.

 

  1. To perform a Nafl Tawaaf before proceeding to Mina.

 

  1. To repeat Tawaaf–ul–Widaa if the stay in Makkah is prolonged due to unforeseen circumstances after already having performed this Tawaaf.

 

  1. To perform Tawaaf-e-Widaa by a resident of Makkah, the Hill or the Meeqaat.
