CONTRAVENTION
(JINAAYAAT)
PENALTY
(JAZAA)
A.

To apply a large quantity of these substances to an area of clothing less than one hand span by one hand span, (Baalisht), and to wear such clothing for one day and one night or more.
B.

To apply a small quantity of these substances to an area of clothing more than one hand span by one hand span, and to wear such clothing for less than one day and one night.
Damm
C.

To apply a small quantity of these substances to an area of clothing less than one hand span by one hand span, and to wear such clothing for less one day and one night.
D.

To apply a large quantity of these substances on clothing covering an area more than one hand span by one hand span, and to wear such clothing for less than one day and one night.
Complete Sadaqah
E.

For one Muhrim to apply these substances on the clothing of another Muhrim.
Damm on the person applied; major sin on the applier.

Note

 

  1. By one day and one night is meant the duration of day and night whether one whole day or one whole night passes or not e.g. if worn for half the day upto half the night, or if worn for half the night upto half the day, then too Damm is Waajeeb.

 

  1. There is no penalty if the Itr is applied before saying the Niyyat.

 

  1.
