CONTRAVENTION
(JINAAYAAT)
PENALTY
(JAZAA)
A.

To make Istilaam of the Hajre Aswad, (or any portion of the Kaabaah), in the state of Ihraam, so that much perfume becomes attached to the face or hands.
B.

To make Istilaam as in (a) so that little perfume becomes attached to the face or hands.

Note

  1. If Itr has been applied to the Hajr-e-Aswad then it is not permissible for the Muhrim to kiss it.  He should merely make a gesture with his palms and kiss them instead.

  1. This ruling also applies for the Muhrim as regards any portion of the Holy Kaabaah, especially the Multazam and Rukne Yemeni, where aromatic substances are invariably applied by others.
